At Unity Health Toronto, we offer a range of comprehensive services for patients with kidney disease. For those in later stages of kidney disease; we offer different kinds of renal replacement therapy including dialysis and transplant and have multiple sites to support your care closer to home. Together, we help you stay healthy and manage your kidney disease through education, support and treatment options.

Our team is committed to providing compassionate care to all and the best possible patient experience. This includes participating in research and innovation that happens in our clinics by team members on a daily basis.

For over 50 years, St. Michael’s Hospital has been providing world-class care for kidney transplant patients. Our program is one of the largest and most innovative transplant programs in Canada. Each year we complete approximately 150 kidney transplant surgeries, with 20% of our transplants coming from living donors. We offer a living donor program, with a team dedicated to supporting those donating a kidney and a team dedicated to supporting the recipient. Our program takes great pride in our individualized care and uses the slogan “people transplanting people” to embody the kind of attention you will receive at St. Michael’s transplant program.

Our biggest strength is in our partnership with patients and community partners. We make sure our patients get personalized care and the information to make the right decisions for them.
